Jose Castillo

Jose Andres Riojas Castillo, was called home by our Heavenly Father on June 25, 2019 in San Marcos, Texas, surrounded by his wife and children. 

Born on January 10, 1950 in El Paso, Texas, Jose was a loving and committed husband to the love of his life, and a loving father to his children.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Andres Desiderio Castillo and Antonia Riojas Castillo. He is survived by his wife Frances Silva Castillo, his daughters Frances Cecilia Castillo Natal and her husband Richard Natal; JoAnna Silva Castillo Silva and her husband Joseph Silva Jr.; and his son Kristopher Joe Castillo and his wife Ashley Garza. Ten grandchildren, Brittany Nicole Castillo, Maria Yolanda Hernandez, Aleczander Federico Hernandez, Marcus Martin Silva, Richard Kane Natal, Isaac Ray Romo, Aliyah Rene Natal, Jesse Joseph Silva, Isiah Miguel Silva, and Kara-el Faith Castillo; as well as three great grandchildren, Andres Guillermo Lopez, Nicholas Amor Lopez-Castillo, and Antonio Jose Rodriguez. He is also survived by his sister Yolanda A. Fernandez.

Viewing will be July 9, 2019 with the Rosary at 7:00 pm at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church at 310 Lockhart St in Martindale, Texas. Mass will be celebrated July 10, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. at Immaculate Heart of Mary followed by procession to Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at 1520 Harry Wurzbach Rd in San Antonio, Texas.  

Jose was a kind and gentle man who loved spending time with his family. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp and served as the patriarch of his family. He was adored and loved by all. His physical life has passed, but he is now joined with our heavenly father in eternal paradise. 

Jose will be missed. He was an amazing husband, father, and grandfather, but mostly he has been and always will be our friend.
